This is my blog about my guide dog Cindy. I live with my parents in a small country town and have been visually impaired all my life. I have enough sight to read large print, but I have trouble walking around because I have bad depth perception and field of vision. I was using a white cane for about a year before getting Cindy. I decided to get a guide dog because it was so much more relaxing to walk with a dog than a cane, and because a dog is more fun. Plus, Cindy can find things such as seats and people, which is very useful. I’m also very shy, and having Cindy has made me come out of my shell a lot.

Yes. That’s one of the recent photos I’ve got of her.
